In his 9th grade season Cuauhtémoc competed on the junior varsity level until the last two meets when he was promoted to varsity. Over the course of those two meets he won seven total medals. While competing at the UIL 5A District 29 Championship meet Cuauhtémoc became the school record holder for the 300m Hurdles with a time of 41.68 breaking the previous record of 45.10 set in 2018.

In his 10th grade season Cuauhtémoc became the Veterans Memorial 110m hurdle record holder while competing at the West Oso Bear Relays with a time of 14.83 breaking the previous record of 15.09 set in 2022. In addition, he broke his own 300m hurdle record set in the 2022 season with a new time of 40.34 set at the CBCA Meet of Champions. At the 2023 district meet he placed 2nd and 3rd in the 300m and 110m hurdles punching his ticket to the Area 29/30 Meet. While at the area meet, he placed 3rd in the 110m hurdles which allowed him to advance to the Region 4 meet in San Antonio. At the region meet he placed 4th in prelims and 5th in finals becoming the fastest 110m hurdler in District 29.

In his 11th grade season Cuauhtémoc once again broke is own school record in the110m hurdles as well as the 300m hurdles with times of 14.39 and 39.79 respectively. At the 2024 district meet he placed 1st in both the 300m and 110m hurdles insuring a spot at the Area 29/30 Meet. While at the area meet, he one again placed 1st in both the 300m and 110m hurdles. Advancing to the Region 4 Championships Cuauhtémoc placed 1st in the 110m prelims and ultimately 2nd place in the finals, accomplishing a goal he set for himself of making it to the State Championship meet. At the state meet Cuauhtémoc placed 6th overall and has set his sights on the podium next year.
